Just some of what the Beattie Labor Government has done in the Lockyer
As part of the Breaking the Unemployment Cycle initiative approximately $3.749 million has been allocated to the electorate of Lockyer from October 1998 to December 2002, with $252,000 allocated in 2002-03. This has resulted in 478 jobs being created through the initiative from October 1998 to December 2002, with 64 jobs being created in 2002-03

Completed - $6.3 million towards Stage 2 of the Flagstone Community College
Completed - $56,000 towards a General Learning Area Block at Flagstone State School
Environment
Completed in March 2002 - $64,000 for a frog fence at Goomburra Forest reserve

Completed – $1.45 million for replacement bridge and work on approaches at Purga Creek
Natural Resources and Mines
Work has been approved – For a $250,000 new explosives magazine at Helidon
Transport
Work has commenced - $20.2 million to renew rail track on the Rosewood to Helidon line
